Peach and Lily

You may have seen my first beauty post where I declared my mission of forever looking ten years younger than I am. As part of this quest, and as a result of working with almost all women who share beauty secrets, I’ve tried many new brands.

One of the first products I bought to upscale my routine was from a clean, K Beauty brand called Peach and Lily (yes, real K Beauty on my “K” Beauty page!). It was a bit pricier than my Aveeno, but of all the expensive skincare I’ve tried, this is the only product I have been 100% confident in the results I’m seeing.

Last week I invested in another one of the Peach and Lilly products, the Reboost Resurfacing Mask, and though I’ve only used it twice, I am RAVING about it.

The Glass Skin Refining Serum

This has satisfied me every use since day one. This has truly improved my skin. This one bottle has lasted me six months. This is the bomb!

I wanted a lightweight product that would hydrate my skin and minimize my pores. My co-workers recommended a using a serum, so I went to Ulta and found this.

The description online says that it will give you poreless, luminous, and translucent skin, and that is exactly how I would describe my skin! Key ingredients that I can pronounce include peach extract, East Asian mountain yam, peptides and hyaluronic acid (a firming agent). Ingredients that I can’t pronounce include niacinamide and madescassoside.

I use this about 4-5 mornings a week and haven’t had dry skin once this winter. It quickly absorbs into my skin: I put it on when I wake up and can’t even feel it by the time my coffee is ready. It’s odorless and doesn’t leave any residue, which is what I want for a product going under my makeup.

Super Reboot Resurfacing Mask

This product is a game changer. I’ve never used anything like it, and trust me, I’ve never gotten any results like it.

I was hesitant to buy this. In fact, I even passed up buying it on sale. Despite the fact that the reviews online were positive, they all described a 30 second sensation similar to burning upon application. These same reviews said that the results were amazing and helped reduce “bumps” or “texture”, but I was hooked on the first part.

It turns out that the burning sensation, or “tingle” as the packaging describes it, comes from AHA + BHA. These are chemical exfoliates that deeply unclog pores, hydrate and firm skin. And for the record, I didn’t experience any discomfort at all!

I have been fortunate to never have had major skin problems, but this past year I’ve noticed “bumps” on my forehead. Not quite acne, and easily covered with makeup, but bumps none the less. I had hopes that this mask would help smooth out my skin. I kid you not, I woke up after the second use and my forehead was completely clear.

This mask is a blue goo and comes with a small spatula for application. I applied a thin layer the first time I used it (scared of the tingle) but was more generous the second time. I kept it on for 20 minutes. It practically melts upon a splash of water. Directions say to use 1-2 times per week.

I applied the glass skin refining serum afterwards and went to sleep. When I woke up, my face felt fresh, moisturized, and clean. So much so that I actually noticed. Even better, when I used my toner, my cotton ball came out completely clean. No dead skin that usually rubs off in the morning. No leftover makeup. Completely. Clean.
