My go-to prestige brand of makeup is Stila Cosmetics. It started with a mascara I got in my first birch box two Christmases ago, followed quickly by a foundation I found at TJ Maxx. I’m still using it today, and buying it full price whenever TJ Maxx doesn’t have it!
I have since expanded my Stila collection to foundation, eyeliner and eyebrow pencil, and am looking to try a bronzer or blush next! Until then, I wanted to share my daily eye makeup products with you.
HUGE Extreme Lash Mascara
This is my OG!! This product is what got me hooked on Stila. I don’t get eyelash extensions, I don’t want eyelash extensions, nor do I feel like I need them when I wear this mascara.
This mascara is thickening, but not clumpy. It has an amazing lengthening effect and lasts all day long. At the end of it’s life it starts to flake under the eye, and that’s when I know it is time to get a new one. This gives my pair of eyes the vaVOOM factor 🙂
Micro Tip Stay All Day Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner
It took me a few weeks to get used to the liquid eyeliner marker (I had only used the crayon until buying this), but there are so many things I love about this.
First and foremost, it really stays all day. It barely even fades! It dries instantaneously, and as soon as it does you can run your finger across the line and it won’t smudge (I tried this multiple times on my hand in the store beforehand). That being said, micellar water easily swipes it off at the end of the day.
I use black in both the eyeliner and the mascara.
Sketch and Sculpt Brow Pencil
This is my newest Stila product. What I love about it: how it smoothly goes on my brow without matting it down and how well the spoolie works to blend everything in.
What I’m still trying to figure out: What color to use. This pencil only comes in three shades: light, medium, and dark. I chose Medium, but am contemplating going darker for a more dramatic look. Also, the pencil tip is very fine. I’m still trying to figure out the best way to apply it and blend it in for maximum coverage.
There is a liquid brow pencil that I am thinking about trying. I’ve never heard of a liquid brow pencil, and it seems like it would be very potent and dramatic, like the liner. It will definitely be my next experiment for my next Ulta trip.
