Sephora Sale Recomendations

I go back and forth between being a Sephora and Ulta girl. It’s good to have options, right?

The Sephora sale has been going on all week now, and there are still a few days left of everyone being able to participate – all you have to do is sign up for their free insider program (not a credit card! just some e-mails with coupons). After that, it will go back to being exclusive to their fancy members.

I’ve included the items in my makeup bag, medicine cabinet, and hair basket. These are all items that I use AND recommend. I’ve also included what I personally purchased from Sephora 🙂

Makeup:

Concealer: Becca Aqua Luminous (light): This concealer is so lightweight! I don’t feel like I’m wearing concealer at all! I set my concealer with a powder, so the lighter the better!

Blush: Luminous Blush (Tigerlily): This is a great quality blush! The color is extremely potent and blends on the face so nicely. This exact color is sold out, but there’s as similar color that will make you look just as sunkissed 🙂

Liquid Eyeliner: Stila Stay All Day Liquid Liner – Micro Tip: I used to be a crayon girl, but after this, I’m sticking liquid liner! It’s called “Stay All Day” for a reason. I personally like the micro tip to control the thickness a little more, but I’ve tried the normal tip and that one is good, too!

Skincare:

Eye Creams: Origins Perfect World White Tea Eye Cream: This is my morning eye-cream! I prefer this for the morning because it is so lightweight, it doesn’t feel heavy when I layer makeup over it. Also, it is made with white tea, so I like to think the caffeine wakes up my eyes 🙂

Origins Plantscriptions Eye Cream: This is my evening eye cream. It is a little thicker, but can be used in both the morning AND evening. Plantscriptions is Origin’s anti-aging line – that is all that’s important to me for an eye cream.

Moisturizer: Origins Plantscriptions: Again: anti-aging. This is thicker, so I like to rotate it between the morning and evening, although the directions say you can use it for both.

Spot Treatment: Ren: I just ordered this, so all I have for you is first impressions. So far I like it – there were 4 zits on my face I am treating with it and within a day I saw it working on two of them. After the first day, all four zits did get better. However, there is a fifth zit on my collar bone I specifically bought the spot treatment for, and after a few days…still nothing. However, my aestheticion recomended I see a dermatologist if this spot treatment doesn’t work.

Lip Hydrator: Leneige: If you’re obsessed with chapstick and put it on every night before bed – you need to try this! Silk on your lips.

Hair:

Everything Living Proof 🙂 and some Bumble and Bumble!

Everyday Haircare: Living Proof Restore: I use the Restore line to wash my hair, which has been quite handy since I missed my haircut at the beginning of April due to quarentine.

In addition to shampoo and conditioner, I use the restoring mask once a week. Every time I use that it feels so soft until my next shampoo! After my shampoos, particularly when the air is dry, I use the perfecting spray. It is like a leave in conditioner – silky smooth, de-tangled, amazing smelling hair 🙂

Everyday Haircare: Bumble and Bumble Thickening: I have incredibly straight, thin hair. I keep this thickening shampoo at Mark’s house and every time I use it I feel like I’m treating myself. Though it doesn’t lather as much as shampoos I’m used to, my hair feels squeaky clean afterwards- and it STAYS clean!

Styling: Living Proof Style Primer: This was a GAMECHANGER. For all of you girls with thin, straight hair that has never been able to hold a curl until the night was over, this is really for you. See below for pictures of me with second, if not THIRD day hair:

What also blows my mind? This works best when you use it immediately out of the shower. Forget everything you ever heard about needing dirty hair to have a good curl. I’ve used this on dry hair, dirty hair before, but it has by far worked the best when I apply and curl right out of the shower.

Living Proof Perfect Hair Day Dry Shampoo and Heat Spray: This is my dry shampoo of choice! With my thin hair, it easily blends in and keeps my hair going an extra day or two. It is great to use right before curling dirty hair to add a little extra grip. I use the heat spray to protect my hair when I curl it. I use it mostly because I trust the brand so much, and love the way it smells.

Bumble and Bumble Surf Spray: I use this to top off my curly hair. When I’m all done, I spray this on top of my hair and LIGHTLY run a brush through it. This spray truly brings your hair from looking curled to beautifully wavy.

Note: I don’t list any hairspray. That’s NOT because the one I use isn’t available at Sephora. That’s because with my trusty trio (primer, heat protector and surf spray) you don’t need it! This combo has given me 3 day curly hair after a fresh wash. It’s truly soooo good.
